I am a cradle Catholic who has grown away from my faith in many ways. I have recently started attending an Anglican church not far from my home Catholic parish. I have found the fervor for God that the parishioners there have and I have missed it for years in my own church. The music is so vibrant and the zeal for God is plainly obvious. Their mass seems to be very much like ours and I have grown to really love it. I just recently started receiving communion there after discussing it with their parish priest whom everybody refers to as “Father” just as we do. In my home Catholic church, the zeal is long gone and the homilys are mainly riddled with guilt and condemnation instead of bringing out God’s love for us. To be honest, I hate it there and I feel badly that I do, but I can’t help it. I love what is going on in the Anglican parish. Would I just be better off being a good Anglican instead of a bad Catholic?
