Should I make contacts to support this priest?

There is an old priest in our diocese who was barred from actively serving as a priest because some woman made an allegation of sexual abuse against him.

From what little I have heard about the case, the priest may in fact be innocent. He may have been too naive to realize that he should have defended himself.

Should I contact an expert in Canon Law to see if I can help this poor priest?

You mention that you know little of the case. I would advise you to stay out of it. Better to limit your participation to prayer support. His superiors will see to his defence.
