Hello,

I was dating a girl for two years, she is Mormon, but she doesn’t really practice her faith as much as she use to anymore, i broke up with her two years ago as well, but we still talk, and i can’t get over her. and she really wants to marry me, though she does not want to change religion, and does not want me to change either. she respects my faith, her father use to be catholic… what do you advice? my family is totally against her family and religion. . . could it be possible to have a future if our families don’t like each other due to not only having different faith, but general dislikes as well?

Hi,

The question of how you would share your Catholic faith (the most precious gift you have to give) with your own children, seems to be the elephant in the room. THIS is far more a major consideration than how your parents and siblings are affected. For your children to have a mother who is ignorant of the Catholic faith, I would think, would be totally unacceptable to you.
