Definitely stay home if you are running a fever. If you don’t feel well, stay home.

Not only that, but someone who is NOT fully recovered puts themselves at risk for a secondary infection like pneumonia.

I heard something about that on TV this morning. People feel better, then get very sick again because they’ve developed a bacteria infection and now need treatment with antibiotics. Anyone with flu should stay home, not just from mass, but from everywhere, including work. And anyone who seems to recover quickly, then get sick again, should be examined to make sure it isn’t bacterial.

Flu vaccines are only 30% effective this year, so everyone is at risk, especially the very young and the elderly, and, of course, the immunocompromised.
