Cavaille-Coll
I realize you were just ridiculing the 19 or 20 year old missionaries who were there, in good faith, to try to help you, because you did not want their help. But then that is life on the mish, where young men give up two years of their lives, at their own expense ($10,000 maybe more now), to work 14 hours a day, six and a half days a week, to devote themselves 100% to other people, of whom 99% shut the door in their faces or, like you, mock them and their faith.
However, as we do not like to give up on anyone, I felt the impulse to answer your rhetorical question. Just maybe it will be meaningful to you.
As I assume you know, “Kolob” means “the earliest creation” and is the star nearest the throne of God.
I will offer an idea which, while not Church doctrine, is circulating among some rank-and-file Latter-day Saints. (Funny how a brainwashed heretical cult has a diversity of religious opinion among its membership.)
Read carefully Chapter 3 of the Book of Abraham in the Pearl of Great Price. The Church has the scriptures on line at
www.lds.org Then, read, in a university-level introductory astronomy text, about the structure and motion of our galaxy. Now, do you have any idea where Kolob, and God, might be located? Please let me know what you think.
While there is no substitute for doing as I suggested in the immediately-preceding paragraph, which includes using you own judgment, you can get one viewpoint from Lynn M. Hilton’s book, “The Kolob Theorem: A Mormon’s View of God’s Starry Universe”.
I love the picture of your beautiful cat.
