Should I Order From Angelus Press?

A magazine from Angelus Press was left in the pews at the Cathedral in my city. There was label on it that said “Free, take home copy”. So I did, thinking it was put forth by the bishop or someone.

It contained an article detailing all the horrible things about Pope John XXIII, essentially calling him an evil person and casting doubt on the orthodoxy and legitimacy of his reign. I concluded this certainly was not from the bishop and that somebody was trying to recruit from within th Cathedral itself!

I happen to like John XXIII and credit him, and not Kennedy with the resolution of the Cuban Missile Crisis

That’s the impression I got from the SSPX FAQ
questioning a Pope’s Orthodoxy, when he is not teaching ex-cathedra, does not a denial of his legitimate reign make.

Jordan, could you post the article for us, along with the date of publication in order that the Truth be served?

Good grief. You honestly have no idea whatsoever do you ?

Are you aware of what a Rosary Crusade is ?

The magazine is at my home, I am still at my residence in school right now, so I don’t have it handy. I will be able to find out the details of the article on friday.

CWBetts, Do you shop at Protestant owned stores?

If you do, the rest would be quite evident.🙂 Since the Protestants reject the papacy altogether and are at least material heretics.

If you mean for bibles and religous items, i shop at the parish shop or online

I have the Angelus Press missal, but if I had to do it again, I’d buy the Baronius Press one. It seems to be higher quality, and I prefer the font it uses. I’d also rather support wholly orthodox publishers with my money.

I was looking for a traditional missal, with the Latin in it, so that I could practice for when I ever get to attend a TLM Mass, and I noticed an affordable one on the Angelus Press website. Now, I’m not really familiar with the SSPX, but they have an entire section on it, and many books about or by LeFebvre. All I know is the SSPX is considered heretical, so I don’t want to purchase from anyone who supports them. Should I avoid this website? Can anyone recommend where I can get good traditional missals and Baltimore catechisms without supporting the SSPX?
Hi jfallaw,
Please take time to learn what the word heretic means.

Also know that, while free to purchase a missal from whoever you desire, many parishes in full communion with Rome sell the Roman Catholic Daily Missal 1962.
For example…
sanctamissa.org/en/tutorial/

I bought the Baronius missal as well, it even has the Imprimatur of bishop Bruskewitz.

I would purchase the Baronius Press Missal. The Baronius Missal looks nicer than the Angelus Missal, and it is better made. Also, I refuse to buy anything from Angelus Press because I don’t want my money paying for materials that could be used to lead Catholics astray. I am sure some of the money from Angelus Press goes to the SSPX, and the SSPX in turn will use that money to promote their schismatical views.

That would be sedevacantism- a stance condemned by the SSPX thank you very much.

Is it just me or is it every time SSPX appears, people ignorant of the truth start throwing around words like heretic and schismatic without even knowing what they are talking about?

Dixit,

you might be hard pressed to find a pulisher more wholly orthodox than the Angelus Press. I believe you meant to say 'wholly in Communion with the Holy See?"

You could try the Catholic Supply of St. Louis website. They have just about anything you could want.

It’s just you

The topic of SSPX schism heresy, etc has been killed. Stop beating the dead horse. SSPX is not schismatic nor heretical.

Maurin- its pointless quoting the Pope, I have already quoted that several times to no avail.
I beg to differ
