I had a bad car accident which was my fault. I have full coverage insurance, and I thought everything was going to be ok. The other driver that hit me has hired an attorney. My husband is afraid that if the attorney does not get all the money he wants to get from my insurance company, the attorney will in turn sue me for all the money he wants to get. I want to pray, but since God does not interfere in our lives, why would I even want to pray. I doubt God would help prevent me from getting sued. Can anyone tell me why I would want to pray? Please no bashing. I am emotionally wrought.

My condolences, amiga.

For vastly different reasons, I too have prayer issues.

Just hold on, there will be light at the end of your tunnel.

Hi Saphire,
who told you that God does not interfere in our lives? He certainly does, in answer to prayers. I would recommend that you pray, explain your circumstances to Our Lord, and ask for what you need and add that His will be done.

I saw this info on this website:

“If you’re carrying enough car insurance coverage on your vehicle at the time of the accident – to cover all losses caused by the accident, in other words – your insurance company will defend any claim made against you (including a personal injury lawsuit filed in court).”

St Paul says: “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thess 5:16-18.

.

Yes it is obedient.

“Is any of you sad? Let him pray.” (Jas 5:13)

“Those who pray are certainly saved; those who do not pray are certainly damned.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2744)

Lawyers do that kind of stuff. It’s call intimidation, and your insurance company has seen it all. Don’t worry and PRAY.
God will protect you.
Pray for a good outcome, pray for justice, and pray for trust.

Yes, by all means pray. They do/can make a difference as we see in later part of James 5:16

*…The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful. *

May God bless you.

Pray. Regardless of the outcome or perceived culpability prayer always helps.

Pray, and I will pray with you.

Divine Mercy Chaplet

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!
O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!
O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
