I have a question that arose from a situation last week. Before I ask I just want to say that I am not trying to sound petty and let you know that I feel kind of silly asking:blush: , so…
Recently my husband and I were in a local specialty beer and wine store and we got seperated. When I found him he was laughing and said that he thought he saw a priest over by the beer. He just thought it was kind of funny. Well when we went up to the register we relized that it was a newly ordained priest from our chuch. He was walking out with a large bag of beer. The thing that struck me was that he was wearing his clergy shrit and collar. Now I know that he is a young man, maybe 30. Which by the way is only a couple of years older than me. And I know that there is nothing wrong if a priest drinks. But what I can’t get over is that with all that the Church is going thorugh in a secular sociey, does that just give room for scandal and people ammunition for people to talk?
You can tell me if I am being nosey! And to leave it alone. But I feel as though I needed to ask someone!!
Thanks!
