Should I say something?

I am sorry if this is an easy question or one that I should be able to answer myself. I am scrupulous and this makes me worry.

On this forum I see some people say that something is a sin or that something isn’t. If I know that it is and they say it isn’t or vice versa, should I post telling them what I know? Would it be sinful if I didn’t?
Someone in authority above me told me “not to respond to those people” (meaning here on the forums and they didn’t mean to be mean; I think the prayer intentions is okay) so would it be a sin if I did?

Two scrupulous people going back-and-forth with each other over whether something is a sin or not.
