Okay, well anyway I’ve gotta finally go to bed now lol. It’s been a nice discussion though… ttyl 🙂

Ladder Theory?

Well, I find it somewhat sad and materialistic, but maybe I’m still too idealist (or as some Traditionalists say, an angelist).

Anyway, this thread is useful to me too, thanks!

Blessings!

🙂

I also find it sad but the theories on social attraction are pretty valid.

Various months ago I found that difficult to believe, but time has shown that many people follow that pattern. Personally, I don’t like it very much.

Blessings!

I do not like it either and find it pitiful. But it is the current trend of the cesspool we call secular society.

The way the Ladder Theory is presented is also borderline sexist against guys. There’s more to men than the desire for sex.

But that is not why I posted the link about the Ladder Theory. I posted it help you understand how a lot of women feel about dating their close male friends.

P.S. I am sure there is more to men than just sex, but I so far have not seen it and every guy I have talked to in the last 4 years have never asked me out on a 2nd date the moment I tell them that I will not have sex until I am married.

I know and I agree with you. :
I am attacking the link since it makes the assumption that men are perverts.

comforting hugs :console:
Don’t worry, I understand where you’re coming from with this.

And against women. It depicts them as materialistic and shallow people.

Blessings!

The site just didn’t do justice on both genders.
I recall a show on EWTN where there was Crystallina Evert and two other guys discussing Theology of the Body for the younger generation. The way they approached attraction respects men and women.

I appreciate what Shana has done. 🙂

Welcome to real life. 😉 The world is a sad and materialistic place.
Well, I knew that… but is difficult to believe that almost everyone is like that at one or more levels.

So, when I’m going to get married… is because riches, novelty and power? that is a sad prospect.

Blessings!

🙂

You’re a guy, right? So, no I doubt those are going to be very high on your priority list in a mate as they are for women. If this is really the idea you came away with from the Ladder Theory site you probably need to take a more careful look at it.

If you mean that these are qualities in yourself that a woman would consider an important consideration before deciding to marry you, my answer is a resounding “duh.”

Yes, I think I’m missing something or not understanding it very well.

There were bells…on a hill…Did that lousy Cupid come back again? Where’s my gun. 😛
uggggggg Did you really have to put that song in my head? I thought you would be too young to know it.

Get it out of my head!!!

Wish me luck everyone as I am about to attempt CatholicMatch again (got a $20 gift) but it will be short lived as I am only giving it 3 months. If no one strikes my fancy than I will be thru with edating for good.
