Should I sleep at Dad's house?

What is the correct thing to do in this situation please?

I’m visiting my father who has remarried by justice of the peace, a married non catholic lady who is divorced. My mother recieved an annulmant and is remarried in the church. Can I sleep at my father’s house? Another priest I spoke to said it would be uncharitable for me not to sleep there. What would God say?

Dear Cynthia,

Do you have children? Would scandle be given to anyone? If not, then you decide if by staying at Dad’s house you are more likely to help him rectify his marrital situation.

You must not enable him in any way to think that being married outside of the Church is a good or neutral thing to do.
