Should I use a condom to keep my wife from using birth control pills?

I’ve read the responses that as long as I don’t contracept and my wife does (ie the Pill), that I avoid sin. Since the pill is an abortifacient wouldn’t the preferrable route be to use a condom and avoid the greater evil of abortion? Additionally, the condom has a greater degree of failure than the pill so wouldn’t it also be more open to life? Confused…
