Should I wait to put out the spooky Halloween decor?

Whether it’s spooky or cute Halloween decorations, it’s just too early!! 🙂
This was my first thought too, but it’s just my opinion. It’s your house, so if you want to decorate now, go for it. And if you want to put up spooky decorations, go for that too. Anyone who is offended by halloween decorations is just looking for something to be offended about.

To the bolded; see my reply to Allegra. It’s just that the efforts to remove anything too Halloween-ish (or Catholic) just results in a group celebrating Halloween the way that ancient pagans did.
So what? Maybe celebrating something by decorating with the natural flora of the season is a universal concept? It’s not like when we decorate with gourds we are praying to the “gourd god” or something like that.

The only thing the trick-or-treaters really care about is whether you have the loot to pay them off to refrain from TPing your front yard or putting a potato in your tailpipe (since almost none of them have any intention to make good on the traditional-but-toothless “implied threats” they use).
Dang! Where the heck do you come from? Around here, trick-or-treaters average in age around seven and they don’t vandalize. Traditionally, they tell a joke in exchange for a treat.
