Should John Cena retire from pro wrestling soon?

The man is pushing 40, after all. Maybe he should concentrate on being an actor.

The guy has been a bit entertaining. He’s already done it all in the Wresting world and he’s definitely be in the Wwe Hall of Fame. If he could practice on his acting skills, he may be the next Rock!! But the original Rock has such charisma!! It would be hard to go his way…

It’s more like performing. It has more in common with a circus act(including all the same injury dangers) or a rigged baseball game than actual acting. The “props” are real. He really gets hit by a garbage can… He just been trained how take it and “perform a fall”.

And I don’t think he should retire unless there’s a serious injury concern. Due to the nature of things, wrestlers can stay active till their mid-50s. Example = The Undertaker and Hulk Hogan.

Even Dwayne Johnson’s acting roles (with the exception of some of his comedy roles) are basically The Rock playing The Rock. It’s hard to see the character he’s playing… only his wrestling persona comes across (especially if he plays an action hero.) John Cena is the same way. In fact, this is probably true of most wrestlers who make movies–Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose, The Miz, Hulk Hogan, etc. It’s hard to separate their wrestling personas from the characters they’re supposed to portray.
