Should Latin mass be brought back?

In any case, the point remains, the Rosary is efficacious. Catholics cannot deny that. Prayers to Saint Agnes are efficacious. Catholics cannot deny that.

Doesn’t mean you have to pray the Rosary or to Saint Agnes.
 
Going to Mass on Sunday isn’t “doctrine.” It’s required.
 
You’re using terms very loosely to prove your narrow point about the Rosary. The Rosary, for the umpteenth time, is NOT required as a prayer. But the Rosary IS efficacious, and no Catholic may deny its efficacy, any more than a Catholic may deny the efficacy of praying to a given saint. Doesn’t mean the prayers are required…but belief in the efficacy IS required.

Show me in the CCC or Cannon Law what you assert.

It won’t be there…because the Rosary–and any belief therein-- is wholly optional.
 
CCC and Canon Law are not the sum total of our Faith. Again, the liturgy. Lex orandi, lex credendi.

They are the basis from which everything else is formed. Individual documents are not doctrine unless the church has declared them so. Those documents are NOT doctrine.
 
This discussion has NOTHING to do with “Should Latin mass be brought back?” Enough.

No, it’s called it’s a waste of time to argue with someone who merely argues for the sake of arguing.
 
But I do suggest you avoid Mass on 7 October. You might have a problem with the liturgy that day.

The readings are from the Bible. The priest may speak on the Rosary, but it is right to do so. But being a feast day doesn’t change the holy Sacrafice Mass.:roll_eyes:

Whoa… You have to believe in the Creed, Pater Noster, and Ave Maria. You have to believe in intercessory prayer. You don’t have to believe in particular promises attached to the Rosary that are private revelation. I would say you even have to believe in the efficaciousness of the Rosary. But you don’t have to pray the Rosary.
 
There’s more to the texts of the liturgy than the biblical readings.

I stated you had to believe in the Our Father, Glory Be, Hail Mary, etc. Those are a part of our faith. However the sum of them, the Rosary, is not. It is optional and any beliefs stemming from it are, too.
