Should Mahoney be treated the same way as Williamson?

Cardinal Mahoney’s recent remarks about the TLM are an insult to any Catholic, especially those that attend the TLM.

Bishop Williamson’s comments are different than Mahoney’s are of a slightly secular point of view, but I support the Vatican’s hard approach to him to a point.

It has been raised that the Vatican is demanding such a retraction solely because outside pressure. I don’t know if I agree with that but if there isn’t some type of reaction by some in Vatican to what Mahoney has said then it would give credence.

But perhaps Mahoney’s comments aren’t as offensive as Williamson’s?

Thoughts? Opinions?

What did he say? I know some bishops are unhinged on the subject of the Latin mass,
