Should major league baseball eliminate base "stealing"?

I don’t like it because it teaches that stealing is OK.
Seriously?

It is a GAME. Following your logic, they should eliminate the bases as well, because the players are not married to each other. Sheesh - hitting a home run in front of thousands of people! :eek: Even getting to 2nd and 3rd base flies in the face of chastity…Is baseball pornography?!?

The stealing part also teaches that there can be serious consequences. Most players are not successful at stealing. They are caught, and they are OUT. It is a big risk. Is it worth it? Not usually.

It is still a GAME. A pastime. A sport. Not real life.

No. Its a sport lingo, there are plenty of other things in life to get upset about.

I can’t imagine how you must feel about the suicide squeeze. :rolleyes:

**It probably should be called “base borrowing” since I’ve never actually seen the player take the base with him…:rolleyes:

It is a violent sport though, I have actually seen players getting robbed on first.**

lol 👍 I was glad at least that Catholics were able to call you out on this one. Get it? Called out? 😃

Then there is the whole pinch thing…pinching is not nice! And Hitting! We all teach our children from a very early age that hitting is not allowed, and then baseball REWARDS their players for hitting AND scoring! Scoring in public! How dare they?!?

:tsktsk::tsktsk::tsktsk:

It’s great to see how you are trying to apply the virtues in everyday life. 😃

What about the famous “Hail Mary Pass”?

I’ve always thought that might be a little disrespectful. Then again, it shows that even in Football there is some acknowledgment of the Blessed Mother and her influence.

Pretty sure this thread is not meant to be taken seriously…haha very funny…:onpatrol:
