To be honest, I never expected to see namethat here. 😉 The ironic thing is, a 1934 issue of Der Stürmer illustrated in that Wiki article actually shows a very Aryan Jesus criticizing the Church (represented by two priests) for “[making] out of [the Jews] the Elect Nation.” :rolleyes:
 
Thank you everyone in this thread as I am a rare longhaired catholic man. I also wondered about this for sometime. I’m under the impression that he was battling certain liturgical abuses by transvestites though not sure.
 
A “comet” is literally “long-haired”. So if your hair starts to look as long as a comet’s tail, or the long blonde tresses of the Coma Berenices constellation, that’s when you worry! 🙂
 
My dictionary says komao translates as to wear tresses of hair. My understanding of this verse is that male prostitutes in pagan temples had their hair done like women. So if you saw a man with a fancy hair do that meant he was available for sex, so this may be a reference to homosexuality, prostitution and idolatry.
