I have a difficult question about a difficult situation. I hope you can help. I have a daughter who will be 17 in a couple weeks. She has a boyfriend who is 19. We like him very much, he is a very good person. He has had an extremely difficult home life and his mother kicked him out of their house awhile back. He was homeless for a time, and after a while was able to stay with a friend and his family temporarily. He is trying very hard to finish high school, which he will do this year. Chastity is very important to my daughter and he respects that and agrees that they will keep themselves for marriage. Right now he live with his grandmother but it is proving to be a very difficult situation also since other family members can interfere. My daughter asked me today, if he were to be kicked out of his home again would he be able to stay with us temporarily until he can find another place to stay. I am unsure if this would be appropriate (obviously he would be staying in a bedroom by himself). I don’t want to do anything that would cause scandal, and I would hate to see him homeless again.
Also we had planned a family vacation next summer and would like to include him in it. We hope to rent a house for the time we are there. Would it be appropriate to include him in our plans?
