Octomom is in deep financial crisis and is near homeless. She has been forced to do some topless work just to feed her family and is now considering pornography.

My question is whether Octomom deserves some type of public assistance to cope with her very large family.

Robert my friend, I see you also live in Cali. Hahaha… you already HAVE been paying for
her and her kids. She’s BEEN receiving at least $4,000 +
a month in assistance from we the tax payers.

I’m sure Your Thank You card probably just got lost in the mail…

P.S., She will also be doing a “solo” ( if you get my drift ) porn movie this summer.

Normally, politically, I am to the left of center, at least on these boards.

However, in that situation, she went to such lengths to become infamous that she ought to be convicted of child abuse, and relieved of all but maybe two of her children. Put her to full-time work.

Make sure, however, that all the kids have plenty of visitation privileges with each other. Don’t make the kids suffer for the craziness of the mother.

I really don’t know what to think regarding this crazy situation. It just boggles my mind.

I can’t decide whether she should be receiving welfare or not.

Raising all her kids is already full-time work.
Pornography wouldn’t exactly be the icing on the cake. It’d be better if she stuck to taking care of her kids than making porn, but I guess she has time for that? POOR CHILDREN. ;______;

How many kids does this woman have?

Society must care for these kids! They ought not become homeless. With 14 young toddlers to look after, no homeless mother can survive.

**She has 14 children under the age of 11 or 12 years old, and ALL her children are from IVF ( in vitro fertilization ). Unmarried and with no job, she had her first six children. Still unmarried and with no job, she then had the six left over frozen embryos (name removed by moderator)lanted. Two of the embryos divided to become twins, and all eight babies survived the pregnancy and birth.

The ONLY thing I can find to commend her on is that she didn’t abort any of the babies.
But, she should never have purposely created all these children. I’m sure their quality of life is very poor, and the state should have stepped in with the first six she was having trouble taking care of. Just adding eight more babies to the mix was ludicrous, and I think, criminal.**

The problem is, many want to “punish” her for having the kids.

She has them. It’s done.

The kids should not be made to suffer because of her poor choices- if they need assistance to afford food and basic living things, then I wouldn’t deny them that.

Now, if the children were to be removed, then any assistance should be summarily withdrawn to that of an appropriate level for any other person of that age in need of work, etc.

Well, if we are following the teachings of the Church and performing the spiritual and corporal works of mercy, then yes, we should be helping her. I think she qualifies for quite a few of those.

I’m not saying I defend her or that I agree with what she has done. Quite the opposite. But this IS a mother, one who is struggling to take care of her children. It doesn’t matter at this point how she got those kids, only that she has them and needs help. Maybe state assistance isn’t the right way to do it, but I do think it’s our moral obligation to help anyone in her shoes, one kid or 14 kids.

No, the doctor should be paying child support.
Wasn’t this doctor brought up on charges of malpractice?I think I read somewhere that he was intentionally hoping to sensationalize this situation for his own notoriety.

I think they stripped him of his license.

It’s not the childrens fault their mom’s a little off balance. I think they should get what ever support they need.

If she’s considering topless work or porn, is she really a fit person to raise the children? There are other lines of work. Why not provide child care so she can learn a useful trade: welding, nursing, being a chef , auto mechanics? Topless dancing is for people with absolutely no skills.
