"St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
and through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Let us bear in mind he words of St. Maximilian Kobe: “It is the Immaculata alone who has from God the promise of victory over Satan.”

No, it should be prayed in the way Pope Leo XIII wrote it. You can feel free to say additional prayers to the Immaculata, as many as you like.
