Should "snowflakes" be adopted?

In mid-February 2006, Dr. John Wilkie spoke praisingly of adopting frozen human embryos (sometimes called “snowflakes”). The moderator seemed to support Dr. Wilkie’s justification for adopting frozen embryos. Is this practice in conformity with Catholic teaching? Thank you.
 
The Church has not decided on the issue one way or the other, so Catholics are free to support the procedure until a decision is made by the Church. For an overview of the positions of orthodox Catholic moral theologians on the issue of adopting frozen embryos, please see the article linked below.
