Should Someone Baptized in an Emergency Make a Reconciliation Before a Profession of Faith and Full Communion with the Church

I baptized my husband at his requeest one late night while he was deathly sick in the Hospital. When he recovered, I explained that when he was ready to come into full communion with the Church, he needed to contact our Pastor and make a Profession of Faith, receive Confirmation and First Eucharist. He is cognitively challenged but definitely able to choose for himself. As a catechist, I have been preparing him for his Sacraments of Initiation since he is unable to attend RCIA. He is now ready and has requested full Communion from our Pastor.
Should he go to Reconciliation before his Confirmation and First Communion?

Yes, he should make confession before receiving 1st communion and confirmation. This is because the other sacraments of initiation did not immediately follow his baptism. During that period of time he may have committed sins which need forgiveness.
