Should this woman have been sterilized?

No, as Catholics we believe that sterilization is an intrinsic evil, and no evil may be done so that good can come about. Besides, what good would it have done? To my reading, this woman was not the one committing physical acts, she suggested these things to a man. How would sterilization have changed these evil things she did, or that the man did?
 
No need. Life in a woman’s prison should remove the opportunity for her to have any more children, and if by chance she does, the baby will safely be removed from her care.
