Is it a sin for a Catholic to attend Sunday service at a Christian church?
We are Catholic and have been raising our children catholic however lately my husband has been asking to go to a church that is more “down to earth” as our parish doesnt offer adult faith formation, one other local parish do, but we tried that parish and we did not really feel “welcomed” it was more of a snottie, who’s who’s parish. Anyway my husband keeps suggesting but I have been Catholic my whole life and I feel like I am doing something wrong. This other chrisitan church offers so much for the family to do together to grow in faith TOGETHER! but I can stop thinking that is not catholic and I dont want to sin or have my kids sin because I made a uneducated decision. I have to come here to ask because our local parishes dont really offer “adult” faith formation for us to grow in and be knowledgable. Please help…

If your parish doesn’t have one, why not start one there? You’d need to see the Director of Religious Education there to get that rolling. These links should give you the answers that you need. If you have any further questions or concerns that are not answered by this, please [contact Catholic Answers (http://www.catholic.com/home/contact.asp) directly.
