Should we go to a Catholic wedding on the beach?

My husband and I have been invited to the wedding of one of our daughters friends who lives in California. The details are a little vague however this is what I know. The girl is Catholic and living with her boyfriend. I do not believe he is Catholic or if he has any religion at all. He is willing, so I am told to go along with a Catholic wedding for her sake. Here’s the next senerio- they are getting married on a beach in California by what my daughter has termed a New Age Catholic priest. I know I need more information- but just with this information it raised red flags for me. Particulary the New Age Catholic priest. Of course when I tried to advise my daughter of the rules -dispensation to get married on a beach- that’s when she told me they getting married by this New Age Catholic priest. If all of this is infact “true” my problem is in actually attending this wedding. Any advise you can give would be very helpful. I also intend to try and get more insiteful information. I certainly would not want to attend a Catholic wedding(so to speak) with a priest who is not following the rules of the Church. Thank you and God Bless all your work
