 Who here is calling the Japanese people monsters?

As far as I can see everyone on here (even those I strongly disagree with) has been civil and rational. This post is anything but.
the standard response to a comment that rings a bit of truth…insult the poster, isn’t that what you always do, like a bully 🙂 don’t want to accept the truth, tell the other guy off

I actually pray every night that god shows the american people the suffering it causes on other nations, and see how they feel, I pray and pray and pray, because your people go on CNN saying oh SANDY you came and you hurt me, oh we have no power for a week…who cares about the dude in iraq whos house was leveled and six members of your family were killed…oh the humanity, american heroes for bringing water to the poor people…

please, i will continue to pray until americans understand the horror you have caused, you are Babylon, you just refuse to admit it, because your so brainwashed you will never see it, just like they never say it, until god punished them.

your right, because Canada actually does the actions it stands for, and backs up what it says,

America number1, bomb them all, who cares about afgan kids, or japs, or koreans, or chinese, or anyone else you can think of. be in denial that the world doesn’t hate you, oh man they hate our freedom oh oh…please…remember what goes around comes around, may be two 400 years later but you tought the world its ok to use the nuke if it solves a issue fast.
You really need to start your own thread so we can all learn from your sage advise and insight.

I don’t lecture others, I used to try, but i get the same hail the leader response every time, american can do no wrong, god bless america, everything is ok because we do it.

I stand by what i said, i pray for justice, do onto others as you wish to be done on thyself.

Asking a question and making a comment on your irrational and over-emotional posts that are irrelevant to the discussion; is insulting you and it makes me a bully? :ehh:

By the way, this thread is not for your anger of Americans, this is about whether or not the atom bombs should have been dropped. Perhaps you should start your own thread.

I did, its in moral section.

also if you look back, i try to make my point in 4 pages of this thread…all you get is,it saved lives…and i say ok, next war, someone should use that line on america.

there is no redeeming Babylon anymore, if you can’t see the nation that you are, only god can help you, i learned that from the old testament, you cant get a single person to see the sin…you just turn and walk away and hope you don’t turn to salt

Are you saying America should be nuked? That’s a very uncharitable thing to say. Wishing nuclear war on a nation is an absolute horrible thing 😦

No you don’t, and didn’t get hail the leader, etc. Often you got me, correcting your rather inadequate grasp of history. Starting back a little over a year ago.

And here you are again.

Serious question: how is your health?

my health is fine, im done debating morals with a country that has none, charity…you cant even allow the poor to have healthcare, you just moderate them for speaking the truth, and as long as they say good things, everything is fine, but say ill of america and its moderation…

as for the other person, said, i wished the same judgement to fall on a nation that does those actions to others, torture people, burn towns, kill people in airstrikes because they are in the way or in the wrong place at the wrong time. how is that unmoral. if you treated others like humans you would have nothing to fear god with.

I think until americans feel what they did in iraq, or japan or anything they do as “justified” actions then you will never learn.

i cried on 9/11 but how helpless do you think others felt as you did that day, but feel what it felt like for a family who had nothing to do with the war, and see if its ok for your family or friends to be treated the same. get paid 500 dollars and ah well stuff happens, because thats what the u.s government pays a family member for a life long loss of a loved one…

i stand for what i pray for, i pray for moral justice by god, i pray that they understand the pain caused by others because you have no concept because your sitting at home with your mcdonalds and your tv, sitting back saying how great and godly we are…while a world way your killing people saying aw well means to a end.

i am not a saint, but when jesus returns, i think most are in store for a rude awakening on what america truly is, your lucky if 5 percent goes to heaven, at least im not under an illusion that i will.

I am glad to hear that your health has improved, from what you were saying of it last year.

Intense emotion is not a substitute for historical knowledge. If you express your emotions on, (for example) aspects of WWII, without attempting to relate those emotions to actual history, I won’t be bothering you. One may not necessarily know much, but feel much, all the same. If you do attempt to assert history, in areas I have a background in, it is possible I will correct you. It’s happened before.

where you thinking of my mom and her breakdown, or my eyesight? what does that have to do with my statement?

Both what you said about your mom, and your eyesight. And, IIRC, you mentioned some other health issues, last year.

Has nothing to do with your opinions. Was a question about how you are doing.

?? so far other then my mom, the only health issues are eyesight, and some swallow issues and panic attacks./depression. they pretty much think I have MS…best guess.

if it makes you feel better i was Pmed that im pretty much getting banned. and if you read my thread in the social justice? or moral section cant remember, pretty much my anger is vented at the american system, then again talking to a priest doesnt help…he said he doesnt deal with issues of faith or opinion of politics…i talked to a shrink who pretty much said god isnt real and praying to him is like talking to a imaginary friend, so once im banned here i wont have anywhere left to go…

i cant even talk to my mom anymore since well her breakdown…so i accept god has left me, i just dont know what to do anymore, my dream job is over, i got my papers a few days ago saying the the union has agreed to discharge me fro civil service…so now im nothing.

Dude you’re not nothing and God has not left you. You’re hurt, you’re mad; I can understand that, but don’t fall for Satan’s temptations and speak evil to express your anger. May I advise you seek another priest, one who is more sympathetic and willing to discuss with you over your issues

Pax Vobiscum dude.

I’m sorry to hear about your mom. Reminds me of my own, gone for some years now. Things were rough, at the end.

And sorry about your situation in general; it’s certainly enough to make someone bitter. I’ve noticed you have a strong animus against the American system, as you find it. Sorry about that, too. I’ve seen other folks, here and there, who felt the same. I don’t.

Not hoping to see you banned, no. Nor am I going to argue against your emotional stand on America. I prefer history, as I said.

But, a priest told you that he didn’t deal with matters of faith? Did I read that right?

GKC

well we have one other catholic church in our city 100k in the city just under it. then i got to take a grayhound a few hours south 😉

my life has been so hard, I don’t know what to say, it’s not an excuse for all i said, i was venting on the views of some and then because everyone. half the time i wake up thinking im headed to hell because how can life be so horrible, then topics like those fuel the flames because im very vocal on issues so i tent to not be able to ignore them, because I was always a talker putting in my two cents.

Well maybe you should try calling instead of takin the bus. Perhaps you can find someone in your church to talk to. I have my RCIA sponsors and my RCIA director to talk to.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I’ll throw a prayer your way tonight. I forgive you for your statements, I too can understand getting passionate and letting them get out of control. I just hope you don’t really believe all that you have said.

Pax 🙂

we had a talk in his home-office. (the house next the church, can’t remember what its called)
my faith in other countries political stance, to be honest, by the end i was kinda zoned out and didn’t want to hear the i can’t help you speech, you know when you get bad news, sad part hes the one who confirmed me, but i tried talking to him in church before when mass was over and he didnt have time and kind of shook my hand, so came to his office, and was talking about my views and faith, and from what i understood at least my interpretation was, my moral views on another nation was unrelated to my faith in god.

i don’t know it has been a little while so im going off a jaded memory and the long walk home thinking…ok what do i do now, priests are people also, i don’t expect them to welcome me with both arms open and be a saint.

Well, I might see his point, if it was that your moral views on other nations should not be related to your faith in God. Start with faith. And don’t obsess on politics; let it go. You were not set the task of correcting the world. What ever America is or is not, put it from your mind. My opinion.

But, I would hope you could find another priest. At the same time, you are right to observe that, like us, they sometimes don’t match up to what others expect of them. Sometimes we misjudge them, sometimes we might get it right. Judging things, in general, is like that. Helps not to do it too much, in my experience. Which is about 40 years longer than yours. Let it go.

Yes that is what one of the lovely Sisters told me. We cannot fret over the world thinking it needs us to fix it. It’s God’s job, not ours.
