Should we partake in a parish mission when the mission is led by religious and lay people opposed to church doctrine?

Our parish is preparing for an oblate mission, and my husband and I were planning on doing our part to evangelize our community. But at the workshop to prepare for this the leader of the mission told my husband that the “Church’s position on contraception is out of date”. He didn’t realize my husband and I teach NFP.

I don’t feel that we can go forward and be a part of this mission now, knowing that this leader does not hold all the truths of the church in his heart.

What should we do?

Dear friends,

You need to talk to the pastor and if he refuses to make the needed changes, tell the bishop. This is an important matter. We will be praying for you.
