2nd, I do know women who have survived breast cancer and they would NEVER EVER give money to planned parenthood, and connected to that, komen. Our bishop sent out a note previously, and was reiterated this year that Catholics do not support that organization, but other breast cancer organizations.

Just a tip, if you’re going to state statistics, you should always back up your point with reliable resources to where you got your info.

um no. That’s not “why” there are other methods of birth control.

If you are referring to condoms, they also are not effective as they are advertised.

They are given credit for preventing pregnancy, when 75% of the time, there wouldn’t have been a conception occuring anyway.

I can only think of one that isn’t hormonal and PP wouldn’t be handing out those, so once again we’re right back to PP being in the abortion business.

Actually planned parenthood does supply condoms.

I am female.

and I didn’t state any statistics.

and for one that is demanding statistics…by saying “pp does a lot of good” you haven’t really given anything concrete to back that up.

I’ve not heard of this… aborting nothing… how is this done? In THEORY, an ultrasound would be done to see how far a long a PG is. You can see it. Do you have any references on this?

I can “educate” someone on how to use a gun. But if I don’t do that responsibly and “educate” them to use it to kill people, it doesn’t mean it’s good.

Just teaching people things in and of itself does not make it a good thing. It is WHAT and HOW you educate people that determines is it is efficacious or not.

How about they truly EDUCATE people about how to control themselves, and not just have sex without consequences? How about they EDUCATE women about how they are so worthy of not just giving their bodies away to any man who wants it? How about EDUCATING women that a child is a child, no matter how small it might be in the womb? How about EDUCATING women about how their bodies work, how they become pregnant, how they can prevent pregnancy by not being promiscuous?

No.

They just hand out drugs that don’t work, or that kill human beings, or pass out condoms that give a false sense of security and lead people to believe they are having “safe sex” - when there is no such thing.

This is not “education” - this is propaganda, lies, and manipulation.

There was a woman who use to work for them that converted and revealed this (I believe it isn’t much of a secret anymore)…I’m not talking about the most recent public conversion either

What teenager do you know can read an ultrasound? I couldn’t.

I was talking about sexual diseases and how to care for yourself physically ‘down there’.

I’m totally calm. I just don’t see why they can’t do that, and not kill children? And yes - I read every single one of your posts, and none of them make any sense. Just because they “educate” someone how to not get an STD does not make them acceptable when they kill the child of the next woman through the door.

Sorry - I don’t care if they are feeding the poor, clothing the naked, and performing every single act of corporal mercy you can find - if they are ALSO killing children and mis-informing people it is still WRONG. And they just need to stop.

That’s really insane… The devistation that would cause. Fear, guilt for aborting… NOTHING…

Ok… and this goes back to why I believe the pro-life movement really needs to jump on education more… Because you’re right, a teenager probably Can’t read an ultrasound. But let’s say they go in at 7 Weeks See the heart beat?

And well, it’s kind of common to not realize they are PG right off… Right???

Here’s 12 weeks.

Now, I KNOW it won’t stop everyone… but if a teen can’t read an ultrasound, she needs to see one… She needs to know that’s a BABY!!! And this goes to what I was saying in another thread. Many women don’t know what exactly they are aborting. They easily think (and probalby want to think) it’s just a blob of cells

Planned Parenthood NEVER shows the client their ultrasound. Only the doctor sees it, so he knows where the baby is and where to put the suction and curette.

I have heard of some abortion clinics doing this. Talk about evil - the girl/woman thinks she’s had an abortion when she really hasn’t!!!

If you’re referring to me I was talking about right after conception, JUST like my post stated. Not acouple weeks in. Geez! Obviously its a baby when you see an ultrasound, what do you think I’m an idiot or something!? Get the facts straight before you rip apart my post and assume things.
 
I find it odd that Catholic ethicists don’t share the opinions of “wrongdoing” and there is the Diocese of Little Rock reversed it’s position stating that the church leaders had acted on misinformation.
