The *only *way!? What *limits *we place on the Son of God…
We’re not talking about the Son of God, we’re talking about the human messengers talking to human listeners
“And you shall be hated by all men for my name’s sake.”
and another
“If the world hates you, realize that it hated me first.”
This is a mission of acceptance?
Obviously it was - it quickly grew into a worlwide religion. We accept it, don’t we?
I can only repeat: What *limits *we place on the Son of God…tee
The Son of God departed. The teaching was left to humans and there are a lot of limits on humans…

This issue has been definitively decided by the pope. The Church has no authority to ordain women. Period. End of discussion!

My apologies. I could only infer that we were:
So, in spite of **his **very liberal views on women and **his **related actions concerning them, the only way **he **could seriously hope to spread **his **message …
Who’d you say was the antecendent of “his/he” again…?

It’s a shame he couldn’t have sent some sort of Spirit to guide and strengthen us after he left…

He did. the problem is that those who keep harping on this issue won’t listen. they keep listening to themselves and others who won’t listen to the Spirit either. this issue isn’t about “ordination” or “women”. it is about people denying/objecting to the Will of God and rejecting the Holy Spirit, by attacking the Church. if women were ordained tomorrow, all these same people, and more people like them, would come back and attack the Church again, using different words. these people will never be satisfied until their statues hang above the altars, and we make sacrifices to them.

So now you are putting limitations on the Spirit? - she has trouble guiding women?

The question should be “can the Church ordain women as priests?”. The answer would be no, the Church has no authority to ordain women as priests.

I place no limits on God.

But I acknowledge those limits he himself has set. 😉
(Even when I do not fully understand his reasons for doing so – How could I hope to?)
