Does one need to tell the priest his age in confession so that the priest can know the gravity of the sin? Now, I’m not talking about age having an effect on whether a sin is mortal or venial (mortal sin requires grave matter, full knowledge, and full and free consent of the will) but if age has an effect on how grave a mortal and/or venial sin is?

If your age seems relevant to the sin in question and the priest has no way of knowing your age without you mentioning it, it’s fine to mention your age. Ordinarily speaking though, penitents name the sins they’ve committed. If the priest needs more information to assess gravity and/or culpability, he’ll ask.
