Shouldn't the term "LGBT" be considered a discriminatory term?

If I said that I wouldn’t be joking. It’s bound to get there down the “gay marriage” line at some point.
When the alternatives to saying “I do” officially include bleating, mooing and whinnying, then one can say, “I told you so!”🙂

It isn’t discriminating.

Just like the Catholic religion, where women and men are “different” but one is not considered or represented as “better” than the other…and men are priests and women are nuns but neither is considered superior, just unique for each gender…the term LGBT merely lists the “different” categories…and, like the church, is not discriminating against either one of them even though one letter is before another in the initial line-up.

One more example: If a woman gets married and adds her name to her husband’s, but puts his first, it does not mean his name is superior, right? So, the order of the words/letters do not matter.

But you all know this.
Why make fun of these people who are different than you? Even joking that animals should be on the list?

It is not kind.
But you don’t understand! “Those people” aren’t worthy of respect or dignity! “Those people” are not only inferior, they are EVIL.

You forgot the 😉

At least I hope so.

But no, they are not inferior, and not all are evil. Some are just confused or mentally ill. You might as call a Bulimic girl inferior or evil because she can’t stop vomiting. It’s just an ugly symptom of a mentally ill person.

And make no mistake - I’m no pro-gay agitator. I find them offensive, myself. But there are some gays who still keep it hidden and don’t let their perversions define themselves.

I didn’t think the wink was appropriate here, because this thread shows quite plainly what CAF posters really think. It’s been very enlightening.

Bad comparison since “gay” activists think that priests are superior to nuns. If they didn’t think this they wouldn’t be accusing the Church of discrimination for only ordaining men. Since they call us bigots I think it’s fair to judge them by their own hypersensitive tendency to label everything as discrimination.

Just a whimsical observation- it’s interesting that homosexuals want to be able to freely “marry” each other, but get indignant when these “marriages” are spoken of in the general vicinity of talk of multiple-party “marriages,” or brother “marrying” sister, or someone “marrying” a pet or livestock, or someone “marrying” their imaginary friend, or? It’s as if once homosexuals are allowed into the house of matrimony they want to slam and lock the door on all of the other good folks who want to get “married” after their own fashion too. Why should they care if uncle Bob and his of-age niece get “married?” It doesn’t harm or cheapen the homosexual “marriage…” does it?

I’m coming around to the point of view that anyone who wants to marry any other person or persons, any other being or inanimate object, or even his or her own self, should be allowed to do so. In a world gone mad, what does it matter? There will still only be one marriage recognized by God.😉

Because two wrongs always make a right…

It’s not two wrongs. It’s exposing a wrong by showing how irrational it is.

They would also like people to believe that every heterosexual is a closet homosexual.
Huh? Do you know any homosexual people who would like everyone to believe this?

You seem to want to portray gay people as a group who all think alike, who all believe the same thing, who all have an ‘agenda’, and who all want to destroy the Church. Most gay people don’t care what the Church believes but what sort of message do threads like these send to gay Catholics? It’s certainly not reaching out or welcoming or even neutral. It’s mean spirited, unkind and untrue.

I never said that all homosexuals think alike. The context of what I said was the “gay” agenda (i.e. “gay” activists). By the way the term “gay” is a political label created by “gay” activists to promote the “gay lifestyle” (i.e. the behavior). The Catholic Church accepts people with same-sex attraction but doesn’t condone the behavior. That’s why the Church uses the term “same-sex attraction” which does not have a political spin.

We are dealing with people who want to impose their beliefs on others. It is the Christians who are made fun of, regardless of denomination, if they disagree with the gay agenda.

They seek to impose their beliefs by using the government. When they lose at the ballot box because their referendums go down in flames, they seek to use courts, and use left wing judges who are more than happy to say OK to imposing the gay agenda on others.

Then once the gay agenda becomes law, then comes the discrimination lawsuits against people who disagree with them. They seek to hurt those who disagree with them. They label as “bigots” anyone who disagrees with them.

Disagree with homosexuals being able to adopt? Your license to run adoption services is gone. Preach from the Bible that homosexuality is wrong? HATE CRIME! HEAVY FINES! even possible jail time!

So yeah, it is OK to make fun of them while it is still legal to do so. One day it will be a criminal act and jail time will occur.

Lawsuits, yes. Parishes in states where same sex “marriage” is legal had better start thinking about closing their rental facilities- parish hall, gardens, retreat centers, etc- to any and all groups which are not parish Catholic groups. Otherwise they will have no defense against renting said facilities to homosexual militants and publicity seekers, once they come calling.

This.

1% make the other 99% look bad

The Church has never used the term “same-sex attraction” and I should know, I read them. See the Catechism, it uses the term “homosexual persons” and “homosexual tendencies”.

Most aren’t doing that, it is only a few.

Actually preaching homosexual acts being immoral is not a hate crime?

Making fun of people is unChristian.
