Shouldn't the term "LGBT" be considered a discriminatory term?

Most aren’t doing that, it is only a few.
A big enough minority to impose bad things on 99% of the people.

And since their community won’t rebuke them, it is up to us to do so.
Actually preaching homosexual acts being immoral is not a hate crime?
Not according to the gay agenda.
Making fun of people is unChristian.
Then they should stop. But they won’t, so right back at them. Not for revenge, but to show them how awful they are.

We are dealing with people - words do not work against them. Logic. Reasoning. They are immune to this. They are hell bent on imposing their selfishness on others. Can’t talk them out of it. The only way for these people to see how awful their actions are to others is by treating them as awfully as they treat us. They cannot see it any other way.

1% make the other 99% look bad

The Church has never used the term “same-sex attraction” and I should know, I read them. See the Catechism, it uses the term “homosexual persons” and “homosexual tendencies”.

This is one of the most honest threads I’ve ever seen on CAF about how people here really see homosexuals and I applaud it.

I’m tired of people hiding how they truly feel behind pretty language. Let it all out there!

Depends on how you are using the word Church. Certainly groups and organizations approved by the Vatican use the terms same sex attracted.

Though I think the purpose of this thread is to show how ridiculous the modern versions of “tolerance” and “discrimination” are, I’ll admit it is somewhat tactless. Seems to be a lot more hating of the sin than loving of the sinner, though I can’t really talk, considering I’m just as guilty as anyone else here.

The media functions as an enormous megaphone, it can make a few seem like the myriads. Get Toto to pull back the person and then laugh at the fat man behind the curtain and tell him to get out of your life.

After having read this thread the only thing I’m wondering is who is bringing the tar who is bringing the pitchforks.

By Church I mean with those who speak with the authority of the Church, Courage does not have that authority.

The Magisterium speaks with the authority of the Church, and the Magisterium declares that “marriage” between homosexuals is flat out wrong. There is no room for Catholics to disagree with the Magisterium on this and no amount of sophistry can change that.

It is all about parsing, disassembling, and looking to misdirect things.

Why would you state the obvious?
Ah, so someone used it so people would understand them because it was designed for the laity.

I actually think it’s kind of sad that people on here have to make fun of gay people like me on here regardless of whether or not they know each and every gay person’s story. Just because someone has a homosexual orientation or even a gay identity doesn’t mean someone is having “sex.”

And actually if anyone bothered to ask me how I feel about this thread I’m feeling kind of hurt. Your sin isn’t any greater than mine (and I’m celibate BTW).

I think the gay identity is amoral in itself. It can be good or bad depending on the circumstances. And no I’m not out to steal the alphabet. Nor does in define my life, it’s just an easier way of getting a point across about my homosexual orientation than saying something like “same-sex attraction” which I consider to be a pathological sounding label.

This is how these posters view gay people, no filters or pretty equvocations about “loving the sinner”. It’s pure and honest and I would much rather see this than the fake stuff.

Fortunately for you, me and every other gay person on the planet, these people do NOT speak for the Church and they do NOT speak for God.

Ah, but I can’t tell him to get out of my life. He wears a black robe and has a gavel and ruled that my religious freedom is irrelevant.

That’s how these types work - use the government to impose themselves on others.

Then it would be a good thing that I have no plans to marry a gay person, isn’t it? I’m guessing you don’t either, so you’re good too.

As for those who have made no commitment to said Magisterium, what they say has no relevance whatsoever.

How does that change the legitimacy of the words involved? You do not have to answer as my question answers itself. The real question is what is your point?

Then those who dont follow Catholicism’s definition should invent their own idea of marriage and leave the traditional/real marriage alone 🙂

Traditional Catholic marriages will not change in any way no matter what civil law does regarding same sex marriage. It hasn’t changed in any of the states where same sex marriage is already legal.

There really isnt “Catholic marriage” or “civil marriage”, there is only marriage. You may not see the impact of it now, but wait until the future generations grow up with the thought that marriage can be anything. Only then will people see the full impact.

Also, teaching gay rights and gay lifestyles in public schools affects people and their families who are for real marriage.
