My wife and I visited this most excellenct and Holy place on the grounds of EWTN. All I can say is:

WOW!

They are currently breaking ground for the future site of a “Franciscan Friary”.

Side note: Please pray for Mother Angelica. She is bed-ridden for the remainder of the month due to excessive activities surrounding the funeral mass for a departed sister.

A few years ago, when the shrine in Hanceville was completed I got to see it. It is breathtaking! Nothing too good for our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.

The Monastary of the Angels in Birmingham is beautiful too, but the shrine is extra special.
 
We are sooooo blest to live only 20 miles from the Shrine. And to think we didn’t even know it existed when we moved here in '02.
