Sick of politics, sick of the media

I’m ready to give up on it honestly. I’m so sick and tired of the one sidedness of the media, so sick and tired of all the back and forth and finger pointing between politicians and governors and senators and everyone. I’m so sick and tired of cancel culture and the mark that social media is leaving on the minds of the youth. What’s the point of it anymore? Nobody wants to even sit down and have discussions, it’s all vitriol and all it ever does is make people more angry on both sides. Does anyone else feel this way?

It’s not at all a new thing but social media does seem to have provided rage with a 3rd arm. There’s a lot of catchy terms for it in academia. "Rage Industrial Complex’, “Outrage Industrial Complex”. “Hate Industrial Complex”. Others I’m sure.

News and media does have an addictive quality for many people so if stepping away is an issue there is no shame in using an app or software to limit your time or block certain websites completely.

There’s far more people in the world than you realize that aren’t interested in the fighting, however their voices naturally fade into the background behind the louder and more aggressive ones Spend some quality time in prayer talking with God and distance yourself from the rage and you’ll relax.
