I read somewhere that, "It takes as much effort to be a great sinner, as to be a great saint. " So most everybody ends up neither hot nor cold.

So if you are putting out the effort anyway, try for saint.

Trying to do God’s will is the basis of all Holiness, is it as simple as that. All other things are secondary.

Among other things this means

Be kind to all, specially to those who might be evil toward you.

Be patient with all, specially with yourself, we are very weak and prone to fall, we must acknowledge this. God’s Mercy is actually the only thing we will have once we leave Earth to defend against God’s inexorable justice, however remember Jesus said if we are merciful to our enemies, God will also be merciful toward us.

Be humble, as no one can really command, unless they have learned to first obey.
Attend Holy Mass if you can, or at least see a live stream, once per week (doing spiritual communion).

Pray always, everyday, no matter how good or bad things are going, this is essential and often overlooked.

Have absolute confidence in Mary , beside Our Lord, no other Saint is as powerful as she is, also no one is closer to God than Her.

Trusting fully in God is a very powerful way to live our life on Earth, although we need God’s grace to do it and keep it, ask for it in prayer and God will give it, since this is always good and something every person will benefit from.

God Bless

Yeah, sometimes I feel that way. My life would be a lot easier if I were allowed to go fornicate with women. That’s just the devil whispering to me, though. Fornication doesn’t bring peace into one’s life. Only by surrendering to the Almighty does one find peace and fulfillment. 😀

Try doing something a little different. Go on a retreat, try a different type of prayer (like lectio divina), or read a book written by a Saint (I’m a Dominican: we’re fond of our books). Don’t let your prayer life stagnate! It’s supposed to be like a relationship; there are boring times, but sometimes you both need a little trip to help the chemistry.

Being holy is wonderful, but make sure your on the right path to holiness.
