Prayer to Saint Jude

O Holy St Jude!
Apostle and Martyr,
great in virtue and rich in miracles,
near kinsman of Jesus Christ,
faithful intercessor for all who invoke you,
special patron in time of need;
to you I have recourse from the depth of my heart,
and humbly beg you,
to whom God has given such great power,
to come to my assistance;
help me now in my urgent need and grant my earnest petition.

Over the years, I have been sick with several things, I want to send you all of my prayers and hopes that the doctors will find a diagnosis. I realize that it is difficult and it is hard to undergo the fear of not knowing what it is. From one member of Christ’s family to another, please know that during these trials, God is there helping you through this difficult time. Footprints in the Sand

    One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
         Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
              In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
                   Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
                       other times there were one set of footprints.

                              This bothered me because I noticed
                            that during the low periods of my life,
                         when I was suffering from
                     anguish, sorrow or defeat,
                 I could see only one set of footprints.

      So I said to the Lord,
  "You promised me Lord,
     that if I followed you,
         you would walk with me always.
               But I have noticed that during
                      the most trying periods of my life
                             there have only been one
                                   set of footprints in the sand.
                                       Why, when I needed you most,
                                      you have not been there for me?"

                             The Lord replied,
                      "The times when you have
              seen only one set of footprints,
      is when I carried you."

A Prayer to St. Jude

Most holy apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, of things almost despaired of.

Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone. Make use I implore you, of that particular privilege given to you, to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of.

Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly for Warrior 735, and that I may praise God with you and all the elect forever.

I promise, O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you.
