Wasn’t it just Christianity or Catholicism until the
Great Schism of 1054?
thats a PC way i guess to deliver that fact
if you ask each side, they would believe that they are the continuation of the Church from the first century, and the other side is in schism

Thanks for this list. I moved house recently. My house is off the beaten track but the Jehovah’s witnesses found me. This list would have been very useful.

These lists are so silly, and they assume a Catholic understanding of the Church, which means they would never convince anyone of anything they didn’t already believe.

Many of the groups here do not consider that they were founded at all, they see themselves as part of the One Church, and those that don’t are often restorationists of some kind, so it doesn’t bother them.

Yeah but the point is that supposedly “neutral observers” acknowledge that organizations other than the Catholic or Orthodox churches are late-comers.

Great link! I found it very helpful as I have been conversing with someone who is Pentecostal and I was curious about the similarities and differences.

Islam and Necroism mirror each other. One is ancient and other is futuristic. The Necromongers are an interstellar nomadic religious extremist society centered around death cult. The Necromongers are a militaristic theocratic imperialistic dictatorship, led by a supposedly divine military religious ruler known as the **Lord Marshal.

**Necromongers are a race of conquerors traveling across space toward the Underverse, a dark mirror of the normal universe where death has no meaning. Their leader, the Lord Marshal, commands his troops to overrun worlds and convert their inhabitants into Necromongers; those who oppose conversion are killed.

Sounds like Islam, folks?

Not really, no.

The real lesson of your post is that most people’s idea of Islam is just as fictional as the Necromongers.

Right, and Riddick is El Cid.

Found this interesting definition of Gender and Sexuality under Christianity:

“Christians teach that sexual relations should be expressed within marriage. The roles of women and gay Christians are being debated within the Christian community.

I’m not sure why either need to be debated because it’s already been said, society is debating these still, God’s Word has been established long ago.

I’ve found a few issues with this site already, pretty fundamental stuff too.

Whether they need to be debated, is debated.😃

Actually, the movie The Chronicles of Riddick shows what seems to be a type of Islam that is peaceful and tolerant. It’s the Necromongers who kill the Islamic guy.
