I have noticed that Anglicans also make the sign of the Cross
  • during the absolution (I sometimes see this also Catholic parishes)
  • at the end of the Creed,
and at the beginning of the “Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord”

I concur with my fellow Anglicans that we do make the sign of the cross.

Additionally, during the Gospel reading we make the sign of the cross with our thumbs over our foreheads, lips, and hearts-- same as Catholics.

Is there a specific name for that? I’ve always wondered.
