What are the uses of the different number of candles in the canelabra? I have read a five lite being used for the forty hours devotion, a seven lite for benediction and Exposition, and a nine lite for the Easter Vigil; there has to be more than “use whatever you have”; why are the candles in odd numbers, 5,7,9? I was going to ask my pastor but I haven’t had time to see him outside of the Mass.
