is this not the day Our Lady appeared at Fatima? Was OCtober not the final month? I wonder if there is any such feast celebrated on this day or some sort of commemoration.
 
Yes, today marks the 88th anniversary of the “Miracle of the Sun.” As far as I know it is not a feast day in the church. Should be though!
