Please pray for my grandfather. He under went a straightforward surgery to remove a blood clot on his brain that formed when he bumped his head. He was otherwise in great health and active. There were complications during the surgery. His surgery was three weeks ago. He is unable to follow any commands and only responds minimally to familiar voices. It’s like he is sleeping but can’t wake up. The doctors told us tonight that the brain damage is too severe to expect further recovery.

Please pray that his suffering is minimal and that he isn’t conscious of his condition. Also, a little prayer for those of us that love him dearly. Lastly, that his nurses treat him with the dignity and respect he deserves.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.:signofcross:

The prayers are working! My mother just called to tell me that he is having a good day. He opened his eyes for the first time in a week and is turning his head towards their voices. Normally they’ve had to give him stimulants to wake him up. Today he seem is doing things on his own. The neurologist keeps saying his reactions are instict rather than voluntary. At this point, I’m not willing to accept his theory.

Whatever the outcome, I’m at peace knowing that he is in God’s hands. In fact, those were the last words he spoke before going into surgery.

Thanks again!

:gopray2: I am still praying for you and your family …:gopray:

Heavenly Father,
Hear the prayers of your servants…

Grant them peace and healing…
Amen
