On Friday Sept. 25 Pope Francis visited Our Lady of the Angels K-8 school in East Harlem. I was among the many people lining the streets to catch a glimpse of him upon his arrival and departure. As I stood in the crowd several people started to point toward the sky. I was at the corner of 3rd Ave and 111th street and to my right in the sky was a rainbow. It first appeared within the half hour before he arrived and remained until shortly after he left. As you may know the rainbow is the sign of the covenant God made with Noah.
To the left of the corner I was standing on people also started to point out a cloud formation that appeared to be in the shape of a cross. Now I understand we are not suppose to look for signs, but myself and those standing around me found it pretty amazing. I was not sure where would be most appropriate to post this, but I did find it to be a pretty spiritual event so I put it right here.🙂

Ive never attached photos to a thread on this site before but I will attempt to attach the photos I took. Hope you enjoy them. (I apologize for the poor quality of my cellphone camera.)

Thank you so much for the beautiful pics and also the wonderful story! I believe God is always giving us signs …we have to see what he needs us to see!
May God bless you !🙂

They are interesting. But the FAA is more likely responsible - they are jet contrails. The rainbow effect is a sundog - sunlight refracted thru ice crystals. I’ll happily go with a heavenly source for the nice weather that let them be there for you though! Bless you.

rainbows usually appear after a storm…but to see one in the sky when the Holy Father was visiting…that must have been very awe inspiring.

You’re most welcome!

Yeah a friend of mine said the same thing about the cross, but I didn’t see any jets in the sky that day so who knows!😉

It definitely was! I am most grateful to have experienced it!

God bless you all.
