The tagline made me believe that YouTube is banning any and all videos that denigrate Planned Parenthood. That doesn’t seem to be the case. YouTube pulled four videos from one pro-life organization. The videos had phone recordings of Planned Parenthood employees (which were likely recorded without the employees knowledge or consent). YouTube is probably trying to avoid getting sued over posting material recorded without the people’s consent. That seems reasonable enough.
I suppose we could email and ask them, but my guess would be that it is fear over being sued because the video contains recording of PP employees obtained without the employee’s consent. PP certainly has the funds to take legal action if they were so inclined (and perhaps they even threatened legal action if YouTube did not remove the videos). Maybe that’s why the videos were able to be up for seven months before getting taken down.
This is all just me hypothesizing, but I’m sure I’m correct.
