Meh…
Harmless subversive fun. Homers supposed to pay money and become an Internet Minister so he can make a fortune off of marrying gays…tells me the gay marriage thing is right where it should be… a mockery…
There wasnt any Simpsons (or Tv or radio or internet) 3000 years ago and that didnt stop immorality from spreading or those who chose to push its agenda or participate. The Simpsons as far as I am concerned is “neutrally subversive”… I made that up 😃

Yeah, this was reported a long time back… I like watching Simpsons, but I don’t buy a lot of stuff on the show… anyway if we’re taking bets, probably Lenny and Carl… anyway this is most likely an episode I’m skipping… The Simpsons storylines aren’t what they used to be, becoming too much like Family Guy.

Ha! Good guess! My bet’s on Flanders, just because no one will suspect it.

Family Guy is way funnier than The Simpsons.

True that.

No way. Family guy is funny, but it’s the “Hey look at me! I’m going to make you laugh now! I got hit in the groin!” type of humor.

The Simpsons, although not quite what it used to be, uses a more subtle, satirical humor.

Oh man! You are soooo wrong!!! I think Family Guy’s humor is a lot deeper than the Simpsons. The jokes are really clever.

I think the Simpsons is guilty of “hitting in the groin humor.” I mean, come on, what about Hans Moleman getting hit with a football in the groin in that film festival movie? “Football in the groin!!” 😃

Naw man, Simpsons did have more subtle humor, for one it was based on normal observational life, the comedy that points out the obvious funniness of things in life we miss… plus their storylines carried throughout the episode and were consistent for the most part, and aside from nowadays, yes, did deal with moral situations well for the most part in a secular fashion.

Family guy is a great show, and I’ll admit I find it funnier, but it’s those ‘Every second line is a joke’ kind of shows that takes nothing seriously and spares no one, plus it has things that are completely random and nonsensical, but still funny…

Why do we only give a portion of ourselves over to righteousness, we say, if that is bad then i won’t watch that particular one (episode), or if it is that bad, then we will censor it. The problem is feel dear friends, is if it gets to that stage it is not necessarily the television that needs changing, but ourselves. If you support, watch, or endorse even the smallest portion of those shows, you then support the whole thing. Would we pick and choose what bad behavior is acceptable for our children, and say “you stole a candy bar form the store, now you will be punished for that” and then say “you stole billy’s G.I Joe?! well, we’ll let that one slide!” Once you have compromised your discipline, and become inconsistent you have failed, and lost the respect of your children!!! **G.I.G.O!!! **(garbage in, garbage out)

Who was the the most subtle of Gods creatures?! the SERPANT!!! A.K.A Satan!!!
Gen. 3: 1 - Now the serpent was more subtle than any other wild creature that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God say, `You shall not eat of any tree of the garden’?”

That article was a loa of cr*p. Instead of coming out and shaling it’s finger at an issue, the show plays off of it and shows you how absurd that view is. Brilliant if you ask me.

Talk about paranoia and extreme views.

The articel is wrong for saying James Dobson attacked Sponge Bob for being gay, that’s simply not true.

I enjoy the Simpsons and see no harm done by this show.

Similar to MARRIED WITH CHILDREN, the Simpsons is anti-family propaganda.

I don’t like being expected to find a dysfunctional family humorous.

Right. Another character was the homosexual. Sponge Bob is just a drug addict.

I, too, like the Simpsons, but what good is it if it doesn’t do a little harm? Aren’t they supposed to be a bit subversive?

Rich, do you have evidence Spone Bob is a drug addict? You don’t have a problem with Sponges do you?

I can not sit through the Simpsons without laughing.

Sorry, it was a joke that arose here at work. When someone insisted that Bob was a homosexual, another person said, “oh, no. It’s so-and-so who’s gay, not Bob; Sponge Bob is just a drug addict.”
I can not sit through the Simpsons without laughing.
Yup.

I figured it was a joke, either that or you had a picture of Sponge bob smoking sea-weed.
