Sin and the Divine Mercy Chaplet

Since I am unbaptised, is it offensive to God for me to pray the Divine Mercy chaplet? Since only a baptised person can offer to God “the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity” of the Lord, should I stop praying the Chaplet or amend how I pray it to omit that prayer?
 
If you feel a desire to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet, you should pray it. Being baptized is not a prerequisite for prayer in the same way it is for the sacraments.
 
It is never offensive for anyone to sincerely pray to God. God is happy you are praying. Many graces can be obtained through prayer, perhaps even the grace to one day become baptized.

Also, I’m not sure where you got the rule about “only a baptised person can offer to God the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of the Lord”, or in what context you read about that, but as Peonies said it does not apply to prayers.

I got it from the idea that through Baptism the Christian is called to united himself to the sacrifice of the Lord in suffering, that is the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of the Lord offered in atonement for our sins.

Divine Love directs God’s will and actions in our lives and in our prayer lives prior to Baptism and prior to any other merit:

By giving up his own Son for our sins, God manifests that his plan for us is one of benevolent love, prior to any merit on our part: “In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the expiation for our sins.” God “shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.”

Omgosh it would never be offensive to pray it! Please pray it!!!
 
If a non-Christian wanted to do that in good faith, God wouldn’t say no, as long as the non-Christian didn’t do something like rewrite the prayer to refer to some non-Christian theology, or receive sacraments that are not allowed to him.
 
Not only are you permitted to pray the Chaplet, you are also permitted and encouraged to make Spiritual Communions. Your longing for Christ justifies you in anticipation of your baptism.

Hmm, I wonder if it could be related to the priesthood of all the baptised.

Since the baptised participate in the threefold ministry of Christ: Priest, Prophet, and King, they are the ones who offer sacrifice at the Holy Mass and other times.

But I don’t think it would follow that unbaptised people would be incapable of offering sacrifice! That seems absurd! No offense OP!
