Sin not to vote in the caucus?

Our caucus is tomorrow at 8 AM, following a 40 minute drive. We have a 16-month old. Caucuses are not simple affairs, from what I understand. Is it wrong for one of the parents to stay home with the child and not go to the caucus? It may be doable but not easy. I understand we have a moral obligation to vote according to the catechism.
 
I think family matters should have a bigger priority over voting, although voting is important too. Personally, I think it’s oaky, but I’m no catechist.:cool:
