Christ is Risen!

Can someone point me to good resources on the sin of scandal, and worhip with non-Catholics, specifically attending (assisting) at the funeral, wedding, Holy Baptism, of:
  1. Orthodox Church (i.e. Greek, Coptic, etc.)
  2. Protestant
  3. Non-Christian/secular religion or group
What does Holy Mother Church teach and recommend in the above circumstances, considering specifically relatives, friends and co-workers in the above situations, and what might be the most prudent way.

Thanks be to God always,

DD

I’m pretty sure that attending services at an Orthodox church are fine, though I do not believe that Catholics are allowed to receive the Eucharist at their churches. I wouldn’t think that attending things like weddings and baptisms at secular or Protestant churches would be an issue, however just going to a weekly service because you feel like it would cause scandal.

However, if someone who knows more (probably most people on here) tells you differently, I am in no position to oppose them.

What I’ve found is that although good in general advice, such “resources” cannot take into consideration the individual circumstances of someone’s ecumenical worship.

Questions like, “Is it better to strain family relations by refusing to attend a non-Catholic wedding, confirmation, baptism, etc. or give the appearance of Scandal?” cannot be adequately addressed beyond the general.🤷
