Sin to cheer for disney teams?

The Ducks were owned by disney some 1 said they donated to planet parenthood berfore would it be a sin to cheer for the ducks

What do you mean by ducks? The Mighty Ducks, as in hockey? :confused:
 
In the 80s and early 90s all catholics should have cheered for the Detroit Tigers because Tom Monahan owned them, and Tom Monahan is one big devout catholic.

if we are thinking in those terms everyone on this site should be a pittsburgh steelers fan because mr. rooney is a devout catholic who goes to mass everyday and eucharistic adoration every week.

Your horribly bad Tigers all of a sudden got good. They choked but they still got to the World Series. Maybe the even more horribly bad Lions can get to the playoffs one day and choke also minus the choke part as long as a team I don’t like is playing them.
 
The Lions will never be good. The owner and management are idiots. To put it mildly.

The Tigers have gotten better because the owner finally got out of financial troubles and hired proper management and paid for good players. The Lions have no hope of this.

Um, the Lions have gotten into the playoffs in my lifetime, and I’m not that old. Oh, and yes they never do very well once they get there.
 
Supposedly the Girl Scouts support Planned Parenthood and my parish sells GS cookies every year.

This kind of scrupulousity is ridiculous.

Scrupulosity? WHa? A woman who works in my dept. recalls her orientatation to prenatal health during nursing school back in the 1970s. During the introductory tour of the facility they happened upon a “fetus” (baby) that was aborted several minutes in an EMPTY procedure room. The sight of the baby burned a hole into her very being…she is haunted by this vision constantly mostly becuase the baby was still moving on that cold slab of stainless steel. That facility was a planned parenthood office.

You worry way too much about stuff. This thread is proof. Go talk to a priest. Seriously. You need a 1) holy and 2) sensible priest to help you out. I’ve got the same problem and a priest, and it’s really helpful.

I think you missed my point. You can’t go around boycotting everybody who even remotely is affiliated with something you oppose. Think of the time it would take to thoroughly research every company’s background. In a short period of time, you will have eliminated most of the company’s who provide services that you depend on in your daily life. For example, if you were to boycott everything made in China, you’d find yourself going barefoot and naked.
 
Fine, but do you know what the church teaches about directly supporting an organization that directly contributes funds to an abortion clinic?

By the way its alot more than providing support. I suggest you do some research on how much GS support planned parenthood. THey gave their highest honor to an executive at Planned parenthood. Some councils honr MARGARET SANGER as a distinguished american woman. TO me it is like supporting the guy who invented the gas for the NAZI death chambers.
