Sin?

Hi

I intend to go to confession regardless but it is bothering me i started to begin to masterbate but it didn’t come to completion, i stopped myself significantly before the culmination, have i sinned : ( ?

plz keep me in your prayers too
 
Sin, yes. End of the world, no.

The pleasure experienced in sexual activity needs to be connected to the gift of self. Your action gave nothing to anyone but yourself, which means you are making your own pleasure too central an experience in your life (this, in extremis, is hedonism).

But you have repented, no? God loves you more than you can imagine, and he has abundant life for you! Blessings, Prodigal.

I would caution being to quick to say yes or no here.
We can’t be too quick to actually say if a mortal sin took place or not. What is the act was taking place and the chap suddenly remembered that it was grave matter and then stopped? remember for mortal sin to occur, three things of serious matter, knowledge and consent must be present.

I would simply say bring it to the confessional and let the Priest decide from there.

Yeah but most folk are more concerned with mortal sin and when they talk about sin they more often mean the mortal kind.

Well if it is venial its forgiven through reception of Holy Communion.
